Are you really who you think you are?

Are you a technology savvy teacher?
Take the true or false test below and see how well you know yourself.

I create handouts on the computer for my students to use. True or False
I keep student records on a computer database. True or False
I use a spread sheet to keep grades of students. True or False
I e-mail my colleagues and obtain lesson ideas via the web True or False
My students use technology tools and strategies to obtain, analyze and synthesize information in a timely manner. True or False
My students access computers as regular as they do all other learning tools
True or False

Now, if you answered false to the last two questions; then according to National Educational Technology Standards for students you have failed to effectively connect curriculum and technology within your classroom.

So how did you fare on the test? What steps are you planning to take now?

This is a wonderful post! It really made me reflect on my own teaching practices nad the practices of my colleagues. There are probably so many teachers out there that failed this quiz! Great post!

That quiz really does make me think. I was answering "true" to all the questions, and feeling pretty good about myself. Until the last two! I guess that's what this class is about - moving beyond the simple uses of the internet and into uncharted territory of actual classroom incorporation.

I concur with the others! Very innovative way to interact with your reading audience.
